Soles 2 Souls’ mission was founded to address the fundamental problem of unaffordable footwear to many individuals in marginalized communities. We had a vision to create their own shoe to provide a widely accessible pair that they would love to wear themselves.

From the initial sketches to the delivery of the final product, this process spanned 18 months. In September 2024, we first began by compiling our favorite shoes that we sought inspiration from in our model. Then, we hired a freelance artist to render a drawing using these ideas. After many trials and errors, we had our new silhouette and refined logo. We were next able to send this sketch to our manufacturing partners at HDS Brands, who soon were able to create the first sample pair. Throughout this process, we made edits to numerous aspects of the shoe – such as the suede toe box color, sturdiness of the shoe sole, thickness of the laces, and logo placement. Our final model was finalized after the fifth sample rendition. At last, we placed our order in November 2025 and they are expected to arrive by the end of February 2026.

This order essentially has two equal components. The first component is on the sales side. Half of the pairs (1250) will be available for purchase. The shoes that are donated as a “match” to your purchase comes from this component of the order as well. The second component utilizes the other half of the pairs for a 5 event distribution cycle. In partnership with St. Vincent de Paul, Justa Center, and MANA House, these 1250 pairs will be donated to elderly individuals experiencing homelessness during these events over the course of 2026. 

For every Sole 1 purchase, we will donate a pair of shoes to an individual in the community of your choosing. After you place your order, you will receive brief email updates throughout the process of the pair being donated – from the pair being sorted, to its arrival with the recipient.

Due to the larger variety of sizes and minimum order quantities for children’s sizing, we were unable to fund and manufacture children’s sizes in this first order. However, we remain committed to serving children in need with other brands of shoes, and we look forward to producing children’s sizes in the future.
